FRCM (Fibre Reinforced Cementitious Matrix) composites are materials that can be used to create low-thickness external reinforcement (plating) systems for existing masonry structures. They consist of an inorganic matrix reinforced with a fibre mesh. In cases requiring connections, the system is completed with pre-formed or braided connectors for connection to the structural element to be reinforced.
Common FRCM systems include alkali-resistant fibreglass meshes with high strength and flexibility combined with sulphate-resistant cement mortars or fine-grained natural hydraulic lime mortars compatible with the most common historical masonry.

| Substrate | Masonry (brick, stone or tuff) |
| Examples of use | Shear and flexural reinforcement of masonry walls Reinforcement of arches, masonry vaults, brickwork infills and partitions Exterior ringing of masonry structures. |
FASSANET ZR NHL SYSTEM
An extended FRCM plating system ideal for distributing static and seismic stresses, giving the masonry high ductility. It combines the flexibility and adaptability of the FASSANET ZR 350 alkali-resistant fibreglass mesh with the excellent performance of the NHL 3.5 natural hydraulic lime-based single-component matrix.
