Environmental sustainability is an area to which Fassa Bortolo is constantly committed: attention to the environment is also expressed through design solutions and high-performing products that can improve the performance of buildings and have a positive impact on their energy efficiency.
Against this background, the membranes in the Aquazip Barrier System line used for waterproof protection of flat roofs, with their reflectance and emissivity characteristics, offer important contributions both in terms of improving comfort, especially in summer, in indoor environments (with a consequent reduction in the energy consumption required for cooling) and in terms of reducing the heat island effect that is typical of urban environments (built-up areas are affected by a rise in temperatures greater than non-urban areas, of around 4 °C more).
The use of Aquazip Barrier System products on flat roofs, thanks to the special colour and finish characteristics of the coverings obtained, thus makes it possible to reduce the surface temperature of the roofs and consequently the heat transmitted to the environments below, with the added benefit of less thermal stress on the insulation layer.
