CRM (Composite Reinforced Mortar) systems are high-thickness consolidation solutions implemented according to the reinforced plaster technique through the use of a pre-formed mesh made of composite materials (FRP) embedded in a mortar for structural use and bound through connectors to the masonry to be reinforced.
The mesh has the function of absorbing tensile stresses, while the structural mortar helps to absorb compressive stresses. Stress transfer from the masonry to the reinforcement mesh is also guaranteed by the presence of connectors. The qualification of this system involves the identification of different classes for FRP preformed meshes.
