Anti-collapse structures

A useful intervention necessary to counteract collapsing.

The FASSAPROTECTION SOLAIO anti-collapse systems, realised on concrete slabs, are a useful intervention to contrast collapsing, or rather the detachment of the brick bottom (the lower part) of the hollow blocks. While not constituting a risk to the structural stability of the slab, the detachment of portions of plaster and brickwork endangers the safety and security of people below.

The systems consist of an inorganic matrix reinforced with a fibre mesh and bonded by means of special connectors to the joists or to the extrados concrete slab.

The systems can be applied directly on the existing plaster (FASSAPROTECTION SOLAIO OVER) or, if no plaster is present or following its removal, on the brick substrate (FASSAPROTECTION SOLAIO NHL).

The performance of Fassa Bortolo’s anti-collapse systems was tested by destructive anti-collapse tests on full-size slabs.

FASSAPROTECTION SOLAIO OVER

Anti-collapse system ideal for plastered masonry-concrete slabs. It combines the flexibility and adaptability of the FASSANET ZR 185 alkali-resistant fibreglass mesh with the excellent performance of a sulphate-resistant skim coat and smoothing plaster.

FASSAPROTECTION SOLAIO NHL

Anti-collapse system ideal for masonry-concrete slabs after removal of existing plaster. It combines the simplicity of dry laying FASSANET ARG SOLID or FASSANET ARG SOLID MAXI alkali-resistant fibreglass meshes with an NHL lime-based mortar.
