IACG
IACG is the certificate of conformity of Gypsotech products according to low VOC (volatile organic compounds) emission requirements.
The use of certified products makes it possible to guarantee design solutions in line with the highest standards of sustainability, with a particular focus on indoor air quality. We spend more than 80% of our time in indoor spaces where pollution can be up to 10 times higher than outdoors. This is why choosing products with very low VOC emissions is a fundamental choice to guarantee the well-being and health of both the applicator and the end user.
Following tests carried out by an accredited laboratory, the Gypsotech product families that comply with the requirements relating to VOC volatile organic compound emissions are:
- PLASTERBOARDS (EN 520)
- VAPOR PLASTERBOARDS (EN 14190)
- JOINT FILLERS (EN 13963).
EPD ENVIRONMENTAL DECLARATIONS
Information on the environmental impact of Gypsotech boards (from the extraction of materials through to the manufactured product, from its use phase to the end of its life cycle) is communicated in a credible, transparent and comparable way in the form of an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), which also helps professionals to analyse the life cycle of the entire building.
This is because the EPD is a document that objectively communicates the environmental impacts of a product, based on a standardised and internationally recognised method known as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
RECYCLED CONTENT
Investing in the circular economy is for us a prerogative that drives us to adopt an increasingly responsible approach: the use of recycled content in our products is a case in point.
With this in mind, we are steadily increasing the recycled content within Gypsotech® boards, thus introducing waste material from other processes into a new life cycle.
As a result, the ICMQ body has issued the relevant certificate attesting to the recycled/recovered material/by-product content inside our plasterboards.
Our gypsum plasterboards are also partly recyclable: this allows us to separate material at the end of its life, significantly reducing the amount of waste going to landfill.
CAM
Recycled/recovered material/by-product content certifications
In 2017, with Ministerial Decree 11/10/2017, CAM, the “Minimum environmental criteria for the procurement of design services and works related to the new construction, renovation and maintenance of public buildings” were introduced in Italy. This tool has the objective of encouraging wider use of products and solutions that have the lowest possible impact on the environment, not only in their final use but also throughout their entire life cycle, from production to installation and disposal.
All gypsum plasterboards (EN 520) of the GYPSOTECH® range, as well as the coupled panels GYPSOTECH DUPLEX EXTRUSED, GYPSOTECH DUPLEX EXPANDED, GYPSOTECH DUPLEX POLYURETHANE and GYPSOTECH DUPLEX EPS GRAPHITE 31, comply with CAM and in particular with the minimum recycled raw material criterion required for dry systems.
