Use

AQUAZIP LAMINA 3D is a three-in-one membrane to be used under tiled and natural stone floors, for both interiors and exteriors without vehicle traffic, even with underfloor heating systems. It combines the functions of waterproofing, decoupling and impact noise reduction. The product is therefore ideal for the following work:

Tiling on substrates that are cracked (maximum crack width 2.5 mm, coplanar), not fully cured or in the event where, due to the different tile formats, there is no correspondence between the joints in the substrate (division joints) and the expansion joints in the new tiling.

Waterproofing terraces and balconies, before laying new ceramic or similar tiles, including overlays on cracked tiling or cement substrates that have not fully cured and are still damp (maximum moisture content 6%).

AQUAZIP LAMINA 3D, suitably embedded in the ceramic tiling, creates an antifracture, separating layer that optimises load distribution. This ensures the durability of the flooring even in the event where the covering layer is more rigid, as in the case of installing large format slabs or due to the stresses present in environments for specific uses.

On the following substrates:

cement or calcium sulphate floor screeds, with or without radiant heating systems

uncured concrete (minimum curing time 4 weeks)

marine plywood, plywood and stable wood agglomerates with low water absorption

old tile, marble or parquetry coverings, provided they are well bonded

gypsum fibre board, after applying PRIMER DG74, or fibre cement boards.

mixed substrates

cracked substrates, provided they can support the load

For application of ceramic or stone coverings on AQUAZIP LAMINA 3D, use a high-performance cement or reactive adhesive (see the Technical Data table).
