FASSAFLOOR LAMINA TEX

Antifracture separation membrane for interiors and exteriors

Antifracture separation membrane for interiors and exteriors

Use

FASSAFLOOR LAMINA TEX isolates and reduces tension between finished coverings (ceramic tiles and slabs, natural stone) and the substrate, for both interiors and exteriors without vehicle traffic, even with underfloor heating systems.

Ideal in all situations where the covering may be vulnerable to damage due to tensions in the substrate that act parallel to the flooring (shear stress).   Ideal for overlays where, due to the difference in formats, the division joints in the substrate and the expansion joints on the new covering are not aligned.

Furthermore, it has a good crack-bridging ability, thus allowing bonding on heterogeneous substrates, when not fully cured or in the presence of coplanar micro-cracks up to 1.5 mm.

The product can be applied on load-bearing substrates such as cured concrete floors (at least 6 months), cement or anhydrite screeds, existing floors with ceramic, marble, parquetry and wood coverings, as long as these are well anchored to the substrate.   It can also be used for separating floors made using gypsum fibre board, after applying PRIMER DG 74, or fibre cement boards.

For application of ceramic or stone coverings on FASSAFLOOR LAMINA TEX, use a high-performance cement or reactive adhesive (see the Technical Data table).

Product benefits

  • Good crack bridging ability
  • Reduces shear stresses, increasing the durability of the tiling
  • Quick and easy installation
  • Ideal for renovations due to its low thickness
  • Avoids the need to respect existing expansion joints in the substrate
  • Reduces the risk of cracking on tiling with large format slabs
  • High alkali resistance
