Old building of the firehouse was build in 1900. Located in old industrial area named «Paris» in Tver city. During Second World War building was partially destroyed. In 50’s, one more floor was added, made of silicate bricks. Until 2000’s this building was used as the warehouse, also there was small manufacture for a while.

Old building of the firehouse was build in 1900. Located in old industrial area named «Paris» in Tver city. During Second World War building was partially destroyed. In 50’s, one more floor was added, made of silicate bricks.
Until 2000’s this building was used as the warehouse, also there was small manufacture for a while.
Owner of the building used to want to renovate facade, and he invite an architect for that. At the same time, the total budget of construction was very small. After research and review it became clear – there is impossible to restore the original outlook of the fire station. Then they are decided to split facade visually into two epochs.
Survived brickwork was cleared from paint and carefully restored. Old bricks is preserved only at the level of the first floor. Superstructures which appeared after 1950 were covered with contrast material. There was black profiled sheet selected as the main facade material. Low construction budget doesn’t allow to transfer the roof or windows.
There was three-storey block attached to the main building, which looks quite like old fire tower. Was decided to repair this unit and bring it in accordance to the general style of the building. In those places where that was gates for fire equipment entry appeared new individual entrances. First floor was divided into three small rooms of 150 sq.m., which are currently being rented.
The owner of the building using second floor like an office of the company. There is fire-fighting equipment and technologies store in this building now, which is continue history of the fire station. Area where DEPO 107 located now its a sketchy neighbourhood.
Investors didn’t want to put money in reconstruction of this district, because they was worry about low payback and vandalism here. After DEPO 107 was renovated, business representatives believed in “Paris” and start to invest in this area. So, renovation of one object pushed renovation of whole neighborhood.
